Drivers
The driver list with profiles and driving behaviour scores.
Every role can view; only Fleet Admin can add, edit, and delete.
Adding a driver
| Field | Note |
|---|---|
| Name | Required |
| Driver code | Generated automatically if left blank |
| Phone | For reaching them in the field |
| Status | Active, idle, needs attention, or offline |
| Licence number | |
| Licence expiry | |
| Photo |
Fill in the licence expiry
As with vehicle documents, this date is what lets the system warn you before a licence lapses.
A driver on the road with an expired licence is a risk preventable by one date field.
Driving behaviour score
Each driver carries a safety score built from three components:
| Component | Measures |
|---|---|
| Speed | How often the limit is exceeded |
| Braking | How often braking is abrupt |
| Focus | Consistency of driving |
The score is shown as a seven-day trend, not a single moment — one bad day should not define a driver.
Use the score for coaching, not punishment
Behaviour scores are most useful as conversation material: "harsh braking is up this week, what is happening on that route?"
Used as grounds for sanctions, they push people to avoid difficult work rather than to drive better.

Chatting with drivers
Conversations with drivers live on the Live map screen, not here — because that is where a dispatcher is already watching their position when they need to make contact.
