Map and geofence
Two screens that both show a map, for different purposes: one for watching, one for setting boundary rules.
Live map
Vehicles moving on a map, refreshed periodically without reloading.

Chatting with drivers
Conversations live here, not on the Drivers page — because this is where a dispatcher is already watching someone's position when they need to reach them.
Available to Dispatchers and Fleet Admins. Fleet Viewers do not see it.
A vehicle that stops reporting turns offline
Offline means no position reports are arriving, not that the vehicle has stopped. The most common cause: signal lost in a particular area, or the device powered down.
If one vehicle regularly goes offline at the same spot, that is a coverage problem, not a driver problem.
Geofence
Circular boundary zones, with a rule for when they raise an alert.
Dispatchers and Fleet Admins can manage them. Fleet Viewers cannot.
Creating a zone
A new zone is created at the centre of the map currently on screen, with a starting radius of one kilometre. Its name, radius, and rule are edited afterwards.

Choose the trigger to match the zone's purpose
A depot zone is usually triggered on exit — you want to know when a vehicle departs.
A restricted zone is triggered on entry — you want to know if anything goes in.
Setting every zone to "both" doubles your alerts, and alerts that are too numerous get ignored.
Disabling a zone
A disabled zone still appears on the map but stops raising alerts.
Useful for seasonal zones — a project site currently dormant, say — without having to delete and redraw it later.
