Vehicles

The list of all vehicles with their profiles, service history, and documents.

Every role can view; only Fleet Admin can add, edit, and delete.

The vehicle list

Each row shows the plate, model, currently assigned driver, status, fuel level, and estimated arrival time when on assignment.

Search and a status filter are available.

Vehicle profile

Opening a vehicle shows three tabs.

Overview tab

Shown	Meaning
Fuel level	Remaining fuel against tank capacity
Load	Load percentage against capacity
Distance	Odometer and current trip distance
Position & speed	The last reported point
Driver	Who is currently assigned

Service tab

The vehicle's service history, and its next service date.

Vehicles past their service schedule are marked service overdue — that mark also appears in the main list, so you do not have to open each one.

Documents tab

Three documents with their own expiry dates: registration, roadworthiness certificate, and insurance.

The status is derived from those dates:

Status	Meaning
Valid	Every document is still current
Expiring	Something is approaching its expiry date
Expired	Something has passed it

Expired documents are an operational risk, not just a record

A vehicle with expired documents that keeps running creates legal exposure during an inspection or after an accident.

Fill in all three dates when registering a vehicle. Without them the system has nothing to warn about — and the status will keep reading "valid".

Assigning a driver

From the vehicle profile you can assign the responsible driver.

That assignment is what makes the driver's name appear in the vehicle list, on the map, and on tasks.

Vehicle photos

Each vehicle can carry a photo. Useful for making sure people in the field are looking at the right unit, especially when several vehicles share a model.

Deleting a vehicle

Available to Fleet Admin. Consider deactivating rather than deleting if the vehicle carries service and task history you still want to keep.
