Training & Skills
Four tabs. The first two are for everyone, the last two for managers and HR.
| Tab | For whom |
|---|---|
| My training | Every employee |
| My skills | Every employee |
| Team | Managers and HR |
| Catalogue | HR |
My training
Records the training you have completed, with its certificate where there is one.
Recording one course
Click Record training.
If the course is in the company catalogue, pick it from there. Choosing from the catalogue fills in the name and the validity period at once, so the same course does not end up recorded under two different spellings.
If it is not in the catalogue, type the course name yourself — for example "Internal React workshop".
Enter the completion date: when the course ended, not when it started.
Enter valid until if the certificate expires. It fills itself in when you picked from the catalogue and the catalogue sets a validity period.
Attach the certificate if you have one — a PDF or an image, up to 10 MB — then save.
Certificates carrying an expiry date are automatically badged expiring soon and then expired, and appear in a dashboard widget.
Fill in certificate expiry dates where they exist
Without that date, nothing reminds anyone until the certificate is already needed and turns out to have lapsed.
This matters for certifications that must be renewed periodically — safety, professional competence, and the like.
My skills
A list of your skills and your level in each. Useful when the company is looking for someone for an assignment.
The Team tab
For managers: seeing their team members' training and skills, including certificates about to expire.
The Catalogue tab
For HR: maintaining the list of training and skills the company recognises, so people choose from the same list rather than typing freely.
